Granges d'Ans

Granges d'Ans, is a small town located 10 km away from Hautefort. Its name means "the Pays d’Ans granary" and dates from the times of the Châtellenie d’Ans which included several estates.

You will discover, in the beautiful town, golden stones and pointed roofs, a mixture of brown tiles and slates, which reminds us that Ardoisières corréziennes are nearby; a rich architecture, a place where  can be found manors, small Périgord houses and, on a winding path, mullion windows, fine grids, strange sundial porches, a Gothic door, crosses, wash houses, carpentry on “génoise” ...

While walking on our paths, you will discover our beautiful fountains and wash houses.
Features:
The XIIth century Romanesque church, dedicated to St-Martin (remodelled in the XIIIth century and now, having been restored).
Open March to October from 9:00a.m. to 6:00p.m..
In addition, organization of a “nuts” tourists rally, on the last Sunday of August or the first Sunday of September (see TO)
